The Eagles kicked off season proper with a convincing 6-0 win over Narrabundah. The Eagles started slowly but as the game went on the Eagles took control but had to wait till the last 10 minutes to get the score board going. Another goal followed shortly afterwards for the boys to take in a 2-0 lead to half time.

In the second half it was all Eagles as they added 4 more goals and rarely looked like conceeding. Tad Miladinovic bagged a hat-trick and the to take the scoring honors.

The Div2 boys didn't fare as well going down 5-4 in a strange game. The Eagles dominated but struggled to convert the possesion to goals whereas Narrabundah were always dangerous on the break. In the end a late flurry of goals by both teams kept the score keeper busy.
